Opulence?
Well, this sure seems like a self-serving event. Are there a lot of architects visiting this site?
I'm not impressed by anything here except for decadence.
Union Station apparently
Union Station apparently double-booked and turned the D&Mers away this week. Serves them right, perhaps.
Why?
That's not true. The crowd convened at a bar in the old station building where there was a discussion on efforts to overcome aldermanic control of the Marine Villa Neighborhood Improvement Association and strategy for organizing againt Paul McKee's imminent attempt to get a redevelopment ordinance passed.
I suppose sour grapes Anonymous does not like forging connections between social justice and architecture. One more nay-sayer keeping on with keeping the social justice world insular.
