All Punks Meet in St. Louis, May 25th 2006!!!

I've been hearing about this since before the summer of 2001. The idea, appearantly is for ALL PUNKS to meet in St.Louis on or about the 25th of May, 2006!

Like I said, I've been hearing about this for several years. Since eaarly 2001 in fact. I've seen ads in zines and heard about it from various traveling kids who've stayed at my house over the years. I'm deffinately planning on going, as are about a dozen kids from my hometown. Including three that are biking the 500+ miles from here to there!

I've yet to find substantial amounts of web pages about this, but, I'm still going to shell out the bucks to ride Amtrak to St Louis just to see what happens.

I guess I'm just trying to spread the word a bit as the date draws closer. Hope to see everyone there. Also, anyone who has more info about this, please let me know... purplepan (at) playful.com

Re: All Punks Meet in St. Louis, May 25th 2006!!!

My understanding was that everyone comes to town on June 6, 2006, i.e. 666, which also happens to be the National Day of Slayer.

Not sure which to believe. Caveat verberor.

just a headsup

the 314 looks nothing like that picture

it seems like everyone is talking about this, yet no one knows for sure when its happening. my friends from Alabama said they were coming up for it but not sure when. hope it happens

Re: All Punks Meet in St. Louis, May 25th 2006!!!

yea, yea, yea - punks are nothing but talk.
I love how 'advertising beer companies' is becoming as cool as 'trying to look like a redneck, but if you looked like that in front of a real redneck you'd get your ass kicked' look

Re: Re: All Punks Meet in St. Louis, May 25th 2006!!!

it's a good thing that there aren't any "punks" in st. louis like that. especially ones who would talk shit about stuff like that days before wearing it.

Re: All Punks Meet in St. Louis, May 25th 2006!!!

this rumor is about as old as most of the punks in this town.....okay, ALMOST that old.

personally, i hope it doesn't happen cuz i want to keep this city to myself. it's forgotten, and i love that.

Re: Re: All Punks Meet in St. Louis, May 25th 2006!!!

what do you really need to observe national day of slayer? sure, the much-heralded Punk Renaissance Of 666 is probably balderdash, even tho it does have the amusing acronym PRO666. and frankly, so what? party of some sort is probably still going to happen, punks or no punks.

Re: All Punks Meet in St. Louis, May 25th 2006!!!

Dearest "all punks" the kids of st louis are excited about the possibility of ya'll comming in...be aware: that st louis knows as much about this call out as anyone else. we dont have anything planned really for this "all punks to st louis may 25th 2006." We have very limited places for people to sleep and resources....please bring your skills, ideas and your willingness to help out with our houses and projects, we will do what we can to help people find places to rest their heads....

much love, the314

"We have very limited places for people to sleep"

um, yeah, except for all the fucking abandoned buildings!
one of the many potentials all the punks coming to st. louis has is a possible massive squatter scene starting.

Re: All Punks Meet in St. Louis, May 25th 2006!!!

The underground DIY punk scene in St. Louis has been doing a great job of making a viable name and respectable reputation for itself. The last thing we need is more police and media attention. This is the same kinda fuckwittedness that caused the trouble a few summers ago with the Biodevastation conference and protest. Way to go.

There are punks who are already here who don't want their town fucked up.
